KNL is honoured to announce that KNL’s CEO, Toni Lindén, and Head of Business Development Matti Raustia have been awarded the Signal Cross with Clasp (Viestiristi soljella), a highly respected decoration associated with exceptional merit in national defence work and in strengthening the readiness of the communications field.
The decorations were conferred by the Finnish Defence Forces as recognition of Toni’s and Matti’s long-standing and impactful work in the area of command and control systems in support of Finland’s national defence. Their contributions have helped to enhance the reliability, resilience and effectiveness of critical communications and leadership systems – a cornerstone of modern defence capability.
The crosses were presented personally by Lieutenant Colonel Tomi Mustalahti, acting on behalf of Major General Jarmo Vähätiitto, who participated in the ceremony via remote connection. In his speech, Major General Vähätiitto expressed his appreciation not only for the achievements of the two recipients, but also for the sustained commitment and professionalism demonstrated by the entire KNL organisation over many years.

Signal Cross with Clasp is a prestigious honour, granted only for outstanding contributions to national defence efforts and to the development of sectoral readiness.
