For the first time, KNL’s Cognitive Networked High Frequency (CNHF) system was included in a multinational joint systems exercise held in mid-September. The exercise involved participants from the armed forces of Finland, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
During the week-long exercise, CNHF radios operated between different countries, allowing participants to communicate seamlessly across national borders. The ease of use, performance of the CNHF system and its ability to adapt to the changing HF frequency environment attracted widespread interest and received positive feedback from the participants and observers.
“The CNHF network deployment was fast and required less effort compared to legacy HF systems. One of the exercise’s goals was to test this deployment process and it went according to our joint plans”, commented a participant from the Finnish Defence Forces.
